Bizdom is an entrepreneurship accelerator that trains, mentors and funds aspiring entrepreneurs to launch innovative, growth-oriented Detroit and Cleveland-based businesses. Launched in 2007 by Dan Gilbert, Bizdom is a non-profit organization with two distinct programs: Idea Generator and Launch Labs.

Idea Generator is an eight-week, part-time program that helps aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into well developed, client-focused business concepts. Launch Labs is a three-month, full-time, entrepreneurship accelerator where entrepreneurs receive up to $25,000 in seed funding to launch their businesses with assistance from business, sales, marketing and web development experts. In exchange, they give 8% equity to the Bizdom non-profit fund, which is used to fund future entrepreneurs that will launch additional innovative businesses in Detroit and Cleveland. Launch Labs participants have an opportunity to pitch for additional funding, if needed, at the completion of Launch Labs.

Our services are provided entirely free to our entrepreneurs. Our nonprofit has locations in Detroit and downtown Cleveland. We offer state-of-the-art training facilities and work space for our entrepreneurs to use as they develop their business concepts. We are surrounded by a family of growth-oriented, successful companies like Quicken Loans, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Fathead, ePrize, etc., which provide our program with the expertise, guidance and support necessary to launch successful businesses.
