We’re Your Extended Family
Team Leader, Veteran Hiring Program
Justin recently transitioned from the U.S. Air Force to Quicken Loans as a Tour of Duty associate after six years of active duty service as a Personnelist. He is excited to be part of the Quicken Loans team, and his favorite perk is working in Detroit. Justin earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Community Development/Public Administration, an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Human Resources Management and a Professional in Human Resources certification.
“During my time in the Air Force, it was my honor to be a part of something bigger than myself and serve my country. Now, at Quicken Loans I have one of the greatest opportunities of my life to once again be a part of something bigger than myself and the great privilege to work with America’s veterans.”
Heather recently retired from the Air Force following more than 21 years of service, and is thrilled to be back in the Metro Detroit area. She is eager to get involved with local veteran organizations and volunteer with organizations that transform the city. Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from University of Maryland University College and a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management from Chapman University.
“One of my favorite experiences in the Air Force was my time as a Recruiter. I loved meeting new people and telling them about my personal experience in the Air Force as well as explaining our opportunities and benefits. I’m excited to be part of a team that works in the same capacity for Quicken Loans.”
John recently transitioned in October 2014 from the U.S. Army with 16 years of service and joined the team as a Mortgage Banking Recruiter. John takes a lot of pride in assisting veterans with their transition out of the military and into the civilian workforce with Quicken Loans. He also volunteers countless hours to veteran organizations in the community and beyond. John was a licensed trauma nurse in the Army and attended Michigan State University.
“My Army service and my travels have truly opened my eyes to the entire world and what opportunities are out there for everyone. I enjoy sharing my experiences with anyone who shows an interest in world travel. I have the Army to thank for my vast worldly experience, as I have traveled to 57 countries thus far. If you’re looking for the comradery that you experienced in the military, the teams here at Quicken Loans closely match that very thing.”
Veteran and College Recruiter
Toni is a recently transitioned Army service member who retired in June 2015. He served 21 years as a Telecommunications Operations Chief and is now a Veteran and College Recruiter. Toni is energetic, passionate and looks forward to giving back to veterans, as well as assisting veteran spouses and college students find a home in the Quicken Loans Family of Companies. He attended Central Texas College and the University of Phoenix and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
“I feel with all my experience and background, I will be the perfect asset to veterans, spouses and college students finding careers. With the commitment to succeed and dedication to push forward in the foxhole, I will do everything I can to get qualified individuals into the Quicken Loans Family. Everyone is Engineered to Amaze!”
Don recently transitioned from the U.S. Marine Corps to the Quicken Loans Recruiting Team as an Associate Recruiter. Don was a Helicopter Airframes Mechanic for 7 and a half years before becoming a Marine Corps Recruiter for the remainder of his 11-year tenure as a Marine. After 1 year with the Initiators Recruiting Team as an Associate Recruiter, Don is beyond honored to have the ability to work with the men and women of our Armed Forces exclusively as a Veteran Recruiter. Don was born and raised in Michigan. His favorite perk is the friendships he has gained and continues to gain since starting with Quicken Loans.
“My time in the Marine Corps was filled with ups and downs with 5 over sea’s deployments and more training than I can explain. Joining the Marine Corps remains to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I wouldn’t trade my time for anything in the world. My favorite part of being a Marine Corps Recruiter was meeting new people and helping them find a career path that met their specific interests and skillsets. Having the ability to continue in that role with Quicken Loans and the Family of Companies has truly been a blessing. Now to have the ability to work alongside my brothers and sisters in arms is truly a dream come true. Not to mention 3 out of 4 of my favorite sports teams are all within walking distance of the office. How much better could it get?”
